An intense sandstorm has hit the Gaza Strip, completely enveloping the territory in a thick cloud of clay-colored dust. The images show an almost monochrome landscape: sky, buildings and roads appear immersed in an orange light, while the wind raises large amounts of sand. The phenomenon has reduced visibility in several areas and has opened up the already dramatic conditions in which the displaced people live in the camps of the area.
Many people in the Gaza Strip live in tents or damaged buildings and are hardly exposed to the storm.
