Minecraft is set to enter the real world in £85 million global theme park deal

The worldwide gaming phenomenon Minecraft has taken a path leading beyond the screens of digital devices. Its parent company Microsoft concluded an agreement with the British company Merlin Entertainments, the largest operator of amusement parks in Europe and the second largest in the world after Disney. Its subject is the construction of two amusement parks with the theme of this popular game.

Minecraft fans will be able to enter the block world from the popular game themselves in a few years. The game's developer, Mojang Studios, has signed a multi-million dollar contract with theme park operator Merlin Entertainments, the company behind Legoland and Madame Tussauds, among others. That company will build attractions based on Minecraft in existing parks.
