Five candidates vie for a Charleston City Council seat representing Daniel Island

City of Charleston voters will see five candidates on the ballot Jan. 11. The special election will go to a runoff Jan. 25 if no candidate receives more than 50 percent of the vote. The candidates are retired CPA David Winkler, retired Charleston police officer and firefighter Tony Fogle, former prosecutor Shawn Pinkston and civil engineer Boyd Gregg.
