The European Parliament and the Member States have agreed on new labels for alcohol-free and alcohol-reduced wines.
Verbs should be used in support of maintenance, wine initiation and promotion of enogtourism. The proposal, which awaits formalization, includes rules for drinks without alcohol and with low volume.
An agreement reached on Thursday between MEPs and the 27 Member States provides for more flexibility for the grubbing-up of vines, an increase in aid ceilings to adapt vineyards to climate change and the development of alcohol-free wine.
