Eu Environment Ministers Advise Eu Climate Target - No Decision

At their meeting in Brussels on Thursday, the EU Environment Ministers will not decide on the EU climate goal 2040 as originally planned, but will only discuss it. After a discussion at the EU summit at the end of October, the climate target will be decided at the next Environment Council. Austria had campaigned for the controversial shift; also Environment Minister Norbert Totschnig (ÖVP), who will represent Austria in Brussels on Thursday.
