EU employment rate rises to 75.7% in the first quarter.

The unemployment rate of residents of the European Union, aged 20 to 64, was 75.7 percent in the first quarter of this year, announced Eurostat today. The EU statistics office reports that this represents a slight increase of 0.2 percentage points compared to the fourth quarter of 2023.

According to the data from the European statistical service, the employment rate increased by 0.6 percentage points (pp) in the corresponding variation (75.1% in the first quarter of 2023) and by 0.2 in the comparison with the last three months of 2023 (75.3%), for people between 20 and 64 years old.
