EFF retains Malema’s home ward in Polokwane, defeats ANC and SACP in by-election

SESHEGO, LIMPOPO, SOUTH AFRICA, JUL 16 – The Economic Freedom Fighters won 57.34% of votes in Seshego Ward 13, reaffirming local support and defeating both the ANC and SACP in the by-election, officials said.

There is nothing but love between the people of Seshego’s ward 13 and Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema. Malema’s presence in his hometown of Seshego, in Polokwane, is believed to have played a key role in the recent by-election victory of EFF councillor Mongatane Ramaphoko.
