Hrubieszów residents raised alarms on social media on Tuesday about drones seen over the city. The Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces announced that planned air defense exercises are underway in eastern Poland.
First, residents of Hrubieszów heard the sound of drones, and shortly thereafter, the loud roar of aircraft. Fortunately, it was just a training exercise, but concerned residents alerted officials. It turns out that Hrubieszów Mayor Marta Majewska reported that the office was unaware of the training. "The local government cannot only learn about such situations when drones are flying over the city," she emphasized.
Drones have appeared in the vicinity of Hrubieszów, causing concern among residents. "Following information appearing in public spaces, we would like to inform you that a planned exercise is currently taking place in eastern Poland," DORSZ reassured residents. However, the mayor of Hrubieszów pointed out that no one informed the city about the exercise.
Residents of the Polish town of Grubeszów, located 5 kilometers from the border with Ukraine, on Tuesday reported unknown drones in the sky; the Polish military assured that these were planned training flights.
Local media covering events in eastern Poland have reported drone overflights, the sight of which is disturbing residents. On Tuesday, the Operational Command of the Armed Forces Branches commented on the matter.
