- On Friday, AAI at Indira Gandhi International Airport said the technical issue was resolved by evening after over 800 flights were delayed due to the glitch.
- The IP-based Automatic Message Switching System registered a fault on November 6, 2025, affecting Air Traffic Control operations, AAI said.
- Deploying extra staff and engaging the Original Equipment Manufacturer, a team of ECIL officials and AAI personnel manually processed flight plans after a November 7, 2025 review meeting by the Secretary, MoCA.
- Across major airports, Mumbai, Jaipur, Lucknow and Varanasi saw delays connected to IGI Airport, with at least 15 flights in Jaipur delayed and thousands of passengers affected since Friday morning.
- AAI warned that backlogs may still cause flight delays, but the situation will be normal soon.
