DEA seizes 300,000 ‘rainbow fentanyl’ pills in Bronx raid

Summary by Ground News
Authorities confiscated about 300,000 pills of fentanyl in the Bronx in a major drug sting intended to protect the public from the potentially-deadly tablets that resemble candy. The largest seizure of fentanyl tablets in New York City coincides with the opioid pills being widely distributed throughout the country in time for Halloween. About 50 times stronger than heroin and 100 times more potent than morphine, fentanyl is being mixed into all sorts of street narcotics and has been linked to about 80% of fatal overdoses on Staten Island.
