Cyprus protests meeting of Azerbaijan, Turkish Cypriot heads

Summary by Ground News
Turkish Cypriot leader Ersin Tatar met with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev. Meeting contravened U.N. Security Council resolutions condemning Turkish state in northern Cyprus. Cyprus was split in 1974 when Turkey invaded following a coup by supporters of union with Greece. Tatar strongly advocates two-state accord based on equality of Greek Cypriots.
