Crowd count crosses 5 lakh as visitors flock to Kolkata book fair on first Sunday

Summary by Times of India
The first Sunday of Kolkata International Book Fair saw footfall cross about five lakh. Book-lovers swarmed the Central Park fair ground, leaving stalls choked and the roads leading to the venue clogged for hours. Long queues formed at stalls, like Dey's Publishing, Ananda Publishers, Rupa and Deep Prakashani, with people waiting for more than 30 minutes to get inside. Sales remained brisk at most stalls across the fair.
