Councillor summoned to court over rent arrears

Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council took action against Petrica and Petronella Dumitru, who were living at a property in Kingswood Road. A possession order was originally made against the family by Nuneaton County Court for rent arrears on March 11, 2020. But there was a stay of proceedings because of the Covid pandemic. The council then sought a warrant of eviction and an appeal against this was dismissed by the court on July 19 this year. A bailiff was then instructed to evict the tenants. But when the bailiffs arrived they found that tenants had left.
