MARIETTA — With a projected decrease in some of the district’s top revenue sources, Cobb Schools Superintendent Chris Ragsdale said the district is preparing for the coming year, proposing modest salary increases and several position reassignments.

Cobb school board to be presented proposed FY 2026 budget

The Cobb Board of Education and the public will get a first look the Cobb County School District’s proposed fiscal  year 2026 budget on Thursday. The presentation will take place at an afternoon work session, to be followed by a public forum on the budget and a second presentation Thursday evening. According to an agenda item, the proposed budget is $1.86 billion, a slight increase from the current district FY 2025 budget of $1.8 billion. The ag…
