The former Bundeswehr site in Reichshof-Wildbergerhütte could be used militarily again in the future. It is one of the 187 properties that the Bundeswehr is currently testing for reactivation.

The former Fürstenfeldbruck Air Base in Bavaria and the northern part of Tegel Airport in Berlin: The Bundeswehr has imposed a freeze on the conversion of 200 military properties. Municipalities can forget about their plans for new residential and commercial areas in these locations. This also applies to Ulm, Sonthofen, and Wilhelmshaven.

The Federal Ministry of Defence stops the conversion of military areas for civilian purposes. In Berlin, part of the former airport area in Tegel is affected by this. The Bundeswehr wants to use the areas until the 2040s.
