Bulldogs fall to Sooners in game two of softball super regional
On Saturday, Oklahoma evened the Norman Super Regional at 1-1 with a 7-1 victory over Mississippi State at Love's Field.
The Sooners forced a Game 3 after Friday's 11-9 loss, their first home Super Regional defeat since 2015 when they last missed the Women's College World Series.
Seven runs in the third inning powered Oklahoma's offensive rebound on Saturday, as the team recovered from the defensive errors that plagued Game 1.
Mississippi State managed only one run in the sixth inning and was held to five hits, unable to generate sustained offensive pressure against Oklahoma's pitching.
A decisive Game 3 will take place Sunday at Love's Field, with the winner advancing to the Women's College World Series and ending the Super Regional series.
