Brothers Muhanad and Mohamed al N. never for a moment thought their father, Khaled, would carry out his threats against their sister. They both maintained this during the first day of the trial for the murder of their 18-year-old sister, Ryan, in May 2024, in the court in Lelystad.
Eighteen-year-old Ryan from Joure was murdered by her own father in May of last year. The man confessed to this in court on Thursday through his lawyer. The young woman's two brothers are also on trial, but they deny involvement.
