In the face of budget cuts and housing difficulties, some 20 municipalities in the country of Quimper chose to overtax secondary residences, starting in 2023. A measure taken by the elected representatives that allows local projects to be financed.
In Brittany, the rise in the housing tax on secondary residences is a cause for debate and concern.
