A body has been recovered from the Newry canal this afternoon, Friday, October 31. Police have confirmed that a body has been recovered from the river in the Albert Basin area of the city. The area of the Albert Basin – across from the Quays Shopping Centre – from the William Street Bridge towards Fathom Line, is currently closed as a result.
