As sponsors drop out, Boise Pride Festival drops Drag Kids event over safety concerns

Summary by Ground News
A half-hour program on the three-day-long festival schedule called Drag Kids has prompted a wave of political pressure and anonymous threats. The Idaho Department of Health and Welfare announced it was pulling $38,000 in funding along with resources focused on tobacco-cessation and HIV/AIDS prevention. The event garnered national attention from far-right websites and podcasts and has since been postponed due to "increased safety concerns". Idaho GOP Chairwoman Dorothy Moon called on "concerned citizens" to stop supporting businesses involved with Boise Pride.
