JONESBORO — Arvest Bank recently gifted six local teachers with $500 each during the bank’s annual “We Love Teachers” initiative to help purchase school supplies for their classrooms.

Baker named WBNQ ‘Classroom of the Month’

Social studies teacher Ms. Latisha Baker was surprised with a $500 award after being named WBNQ’s Bridgestone Classroom of the Month for October. Susan Saunders, host of the pop station’s weekday morning show, presented an oversized check during Baker’s fifth-hour civics class on Oct. 24.
