Armed robbery suspect makes initial appearance

Dyllan Paulo-Leslie, 27, made his initial appearance Monday before Kona District Court Judge Kimberly Taniyama following his arrest Thursday night. He allegedly robbed at gun point Rainbow Cafe in the Kaloko Light Industrial Park before being involved in a traffic collision and then shooting at a responding Hawaii Police Department officer. A preliminary hearing, during which prosecutors will work to show probable cause exists to support the 24 counts is set for Thursday.
