A dispatch system error led to a 5-minute delay in the Waukesha Fire Department's response to a fatal fire, officials say

The fire department alerted dispatch that they had not received the station alert. About a minute later, a dispatcher manually overrode the system to sound the alerts in the stations. The city is launching an investigation into what caused the error and delay.
