MOROCCO, JUL 18 – Nigeria’s Super Falcons scored five goals with strong defense to maintain a perfect record of four clean sheets and reach their 13th consecutive WAFCON semifinal.
- In their WAFCON quarter-final, Nigeria routed Zambia 5-0 at Stade Larbi Zaouli in Casablanca on July 18, 2025.
- With revenge in mind, the nine-time Super Falcons pursued a record-extending 10th WAFCON title after their 2022 bronze match loss to Zambia.
- After the opener from Ohale, Esther Okoronkwo had one goal and two assists in her first WAFCON start, Ashleigh Plumptre said `This wasn’t about individuals – it was about a collective effort`.
- Remaining the only side yet to concede with four clean sheets, Nigeria will face the winner of the South Africa vs Senegal quarter-final on Tuesday in Casablanca.
