Over the past week, dozens more people have been infected with hepatitis A in Prague. Two people have died as a result of the infection. The total number of deaths in the metropolis has climbed to thirteen, and nationwide there are almost three dozen deaths. Hygienists are appealing to people to wash their hands frequently and thoroughly and to those at risk to get vaccinated.
13 people have died of hepatitis A in Prague since the beginning of the year, the Hygiene Station of the Capital City of Prague reported on the social network X. As of Monday, the number of infected people in the metropolis was 1,071, with another 61 cases added in the past week. 37 cases were recorded in the whole of last year, which is less than the number added in the past week.
