- Four men were arrested after £40 million of cocaine was discovered in a van at a village pub car park. Around 500kg of the drug was found in Lelley, East Yorkshire.
- Officers believe the cocaine was transferred from a larger vessel off the Hull coast to shore via a RHIB. The boat was abandoned at Easington Beach, approximately 18 miles from where the drugs were found.
- Investigating officer Alan French stated that the seizure of the cocaine would significantly impact the organized crime group behind the smuggling attempt.
