35 children from the Pius X school in Antwerp, between 8 and 10 years old, escaped a tragedy on Wednesday afternoon. When they returned from a school trip, their bus caught fire on the border between Bornem and Puurs (Puurs-Sint-Amands). The children and their supervisors were able to leave the bus just in time. “A few moments later, the bus was completely ablaze. It really shouldn't have taken half a minute longer,” says one witness.
